WARRANTY POLICY


Coway Singapore
Coway Singapore Pte. Ltd. ("Coway," "We," "Us," and "Our") provides this warranty (the "Warranty") for Our home appliance products (collectively, the "Products") to the customer ("You" and "Your"). This Warranty is valid only within Singapore, where the purchase, or subscription was made.

1. PRODUCT TYPE AND WARRANTY PERIOD
For Product(s) You purchased, the warranty period is as follows:

*Each warranty period commences from the installation date of the Product.
*The warranty period may differ depending on the promotion applicable to the Product at the time of purchase.


For Product(s) under a service membership You subscribed, the warranty period is as follows:

2. WHAT IS COVERED AND NOT COVERED/EXCLUDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY WHAT IS COVERED
This Warranty only covers Product issues caused solely by defects in material or workmanship during ordinary consumer use.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED/EXCLUDED
This Warranty does not cover/excludes Product issues caused by or as a result of any other reasons; or under any other circumstances, including but not limited to:

General (applicable to all Product types):

  1. cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, chips, and other damage/imperfection to the Product finishes upon installation;
  2. normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Product, including its parts or accessories;
  3. Product wherein its original serial numbers have been removed, altered, defaced or not readily determined;
  4. acts of God, flood, fire, lightning or other natural disasters, wars, abnormal voltage output/unexpected surge in electrical power or other events/causes beyond Coway’s control;
  5. misuse, abuse, improper or incorrect use or operation of the Product, including its parts, or other activities inconsistent with the Product’s user manual or contradictory to the technical specifications relating to the Product;
  6. unauthorized repairs, modifications, disassembly, variations or adjustments to the Product or installation, relocation or removal of the Product by You or a third party not authorised by Coway;
  7. the use of non-genuine Coway filters, parts or accessories;
  8. failure to make proper routine or preventive maintenance of the Product (e.g. replacement of consumable parts including water or air filters (where applicable), or cleaning of the Product);
  9. mechanical or electrical damage to the Product resulting from incorrect installation, configuration, usage, inadequate or improper voltage or current;
  10. any negligence or mishandling by You or a third party not authorised by Coway;
  11. damage or malfunction caused by pets, animals, and/or pests, or resulting from their presence or involvement;
  12. damage or malfunction that arise due to changes in the use of Your premises/location after the installation of the Product and which impact the suitability of the premises/location where the Product is installed;

More specifically for water-related Products (Water Purifiers, Bidets, etc.):

  1. environmental factors of the location where the Product was/is installed, including but not limited to, the local water source/supply characteristics that vary over time and by different geographical region;
  2. damage resulting from leaky, broken, worn-out, frozen, improperly installed, unsecured water pipes or its connecting parts, restricted drain lines, inadequate or interrupted water supply;
  3. water leakage or damage caused by Your use of other appliances with the Product including a dishwasher, ice-maker for refrigerator, faucet or any of its connecting parts;
  4. damage to floor caused by water leakage from cock and gutter due to failure to make proper routine or preventive maintenance;

More specifically for water-related Products (Water Purifiers, Bidets, etc.):

  1. damage or malfunction caused by exposure to chemical substances, oil mist, excessive heat, excessive dust or any other corrosive surroundings/environment;
  2. damage caused by inadequate or interrupted supply of air;
  3. malfunction or reduced performance (including cooling performance vis-a-vis Air Conditioners) due to Your failure to adhere to installation recommendations, including but not limited to room size and positioning/location of the Product or its parts;
  4. where used for industrial purpose(s);

The costs for repair services, including cost of parts, labour charges and transportation costs under these excluded reasons/circumstances shall be solely borne by You.


3. HOW TO SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM
To submit a warranty claim, please contact us through one of the following methods:

ii. Visit our website and submit through the enquiry form at https://www.coway.sg/enquiry./

Monday-Friday: 9:00am-6:00pm / Saturday and Sunday: Closed

To obtain Warranty related services, your claim must be properly submitted during the Warranty Period and not more than thirty (30) days from the date of discovery of a defect. Your claim shall be supported by a brief description of the incident/alleged defect(s), including proof of the alleged defect(s) (i.e. photos/videos). You must punctually permit Coway’s authorized technician to inspect and conduct diagnostic tests on the Product to determine the cause of the alleged defect(s). Coway's determination of cause of defect shall be final and conclusive. If Coway determines that the Product contains a defect in material or workmanship, Coway will, at its discretion, either repair or replace the defective component(s)/part(s), or the Product. If Coway decides to repair or replace the Product, we will make arrangements for Our authorized technician to visit Your premises to perform the repairs, or to dismantle the Product and install a replacement Product, as the case may be.


4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Except as provided in this Warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable Singapore law, Coway shall not be liable for any losses or damages, including consequential, indirect, or incidental damages (such as, but not limited to, property damage), arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Products or for breach of any express or implied warranties or conditions related to the Products. Under no circumstances shall Coway’s liability exceed the actual purchase price, or service membership fees, as applicable.

Any express or implied warranties or conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, whether by statute, common law, or otherwise, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This Warranty does not cover minor imperfections in the Products that conform to design specifications or imperfections that do not materially affect the functionality of the Products. We make no guarantees of satisfaction, performance, risk-free operation, or error-free functionality.The foregoing limitations shall not apply to claims involving death or personal injury, or any statutory liability arising from intentional or grossly negligent acts and/or omissions.


5. GOVERNING LAW
This Warranty shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles.


6. GENERAL
For the avoidance of doubt, this Warranty is extended only to the customer, or subscriber of our service membership related to the Product, as applicable; and constitutes Your exclusive remedy.

We reserve the right to vary the coverage or refuse to cover Products that, according to Our records, have reached their "End-of-Life."

No reseller, agent, or employee of Coway is authorized to make any modifications, extensions, or additions to this Warranty unless and until they are officially published on Our official website (www.coway.sg).

If any term of this Warranty is declared void or unenforceable by applicable law, such term shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary and replaced with valid terms that best reflect the intent of the original terms, so that the remaining terms continue in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to vary, modify, or change the terms and conditions herein due to changes in the availability of services, products, and/or spare parts or to comply with applicable policies, rules, regulations, and laws, with or without notice.
